Phoenix Yoga is at 230 Upper Richmond Road, SW15 6TG — in the heart of Putney, a few minutes’ walk from East Putney tube station. We’ve been part of this neighbourhood since our community bought the studio back from closure and reopened it as something genuinely different.
We offer yoga classes in Putney seven days a week. Community-owned means exactly that. Members of SW15 have a direct stake in what happens here. Twenty-five per cent of everything you spend stays in this building and in Putney. We’re not a franchise, not a chain — just a studio that belongs to the people who use it.
We run classes seven days a week across two studios, with mornings, lunchtimes and evenings available. Whether you’ve been practising for twenty years or you’ve never been on a mat, you’ll find something here that works for you.
Our teachers are experienced, warm and genuinely invested in their students. The community that has built up around Phoenix is one of the things people mention most — it’s the kind of place where your teacher knows your name, and where people look out for each other on and off the mat.

Yoga classes in SW15, all week.
We offer four core yoga styles across the weekly timetable, with something for every experience level and schedule.
Vinyasa Yoga
Flowing, breath-linked movement that builds strength, flexibility and focus in equal measure. Dynamic and meditative at the same time — great if you want yoga that genuinely challenges you.
About Vinyasa →Yin Yoga
Slow, long-held floor poses that work deep into the connective tissue. Particularly good for stress, stiffness and anyone whose life moves at pace and needs a counterbalance.
About Yin →Hatha Yoga
The foundation of all yoga practice. Postures held with care, breathwork included, and enough space to actually understand what you’re doing. Perfect for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
About Hatha →Restorative Yoga
Fully supported by props, completely passive, deeply restful. The practice for when you need your nervous system to reset — not another thing to push through.
About Restorative →Serving Putney and across SW15.

Genuinely welcoming
We’re known in Putney for being a studio where beginners actually feel at home. No intimidating atmosphere, no performance culture — just people doing their practice in a place that wants them there.
